Is acupuncture covered by medical insurance?

Acupuncture is recognized by many medical insurance carriers. By law, acupuncturists are considered primary care providers are therefore authorized by the state to provide services. Many group plans offered through employment and some individual plans include acupuncture as a covered benefit. Your representative should be able to confirm your coverage.
