Qigong

Qigong is an important component of Oriental medicine. The qi in qigong means air in Chinese, and, by extension, life force, dynamic energy or even cosmic breath. Gong means the work applied to a discipline or practice.

Qigong (also known as Ch'i Kung or Chi Kung and pronounced "CHEE GUNG") is a self-healing art that combines movement, meditation and breath. The meditation enhances the mind/body connection, and the movement promotes higher levels of energy and stamina. Qigong stimulates blood circulation and improves microcirculation to the brain, vital organs, intestines and endocrine glands.

Many people know about Taiji Quan (Tai Chi), which is popular style of qigong. Tai Chi and other qigong exercises have been used for thousands of years and are very effective for reducing stress and improving health.
